Therapeutic horsemanship is more than learning to ride — it’s learning about yourself through the way horses respond to your energy, emotions, and actions. At Wačante Kiyapi, we use horsemanship to build trust, confidence, and emotional balance.
Our sessions begin with smudging and prayer to bring calm and connection, followed by grounding techniques like tapping and breathwork. Through working with horses, participants learn self-awareness, self-control, and coping skills that carry into everyday life. Each moment with a horse becomes a lesson in patience, respect, and healing — helping our people find strength from within and peace in the present moment.
We welcome all who come with an open heart — children, youth, and adults ready to learn, heal, and grow. The horse does not ask for words; it listens to what lies beneath them. Through that quiet understanding, we guide people toward self-awareness, emotional balance, and peace.
Whether someone is struggling, searching, or simply needing to feel seen, the horse becomes a mirror — reflecting truth, calm, and courage. At Wačante Kiyapi, this is where healing begins: in silence, in movement, and in the gentle rhythm between two beating hearts.
Healing begins with showing up. If you feel called to learn, to breathe, or to reconnect, we invite you to take that first step.
Our sessions are open to all ages and experience levels — for anyone who feels drawn to the gentle strength of horses and the peace they bring.
