Wačante Kiyapi, in Lakota, means helping with a good heart. Our mission is to build, create, and support opportunities for people on the Pine Ridge Reservation to achieve health and wellness.
We were inspired by Carolyn Catches Tobacco and Elfreda Slow Bear, Lakota women, who modeled a lifestyle much like our ancestors.
To own and operate facilities, centers, and spaces that are opportunities for people to achieve health and wellness.
Through innovation and compassion, we create opportunities for healing, growth, and wellness-laying the foundation for brighter, healthier futures.
To sponsor events, teams and tournaments that promote health and wellness.
We envision our children growing into adults who can run with the buffalo and live to be old men and women in a world with clean air and good water.
Generosity, Courage, Perseverance, Respect, Compassion, and Wisdom.
